Obituary for Mina Ray Carollo
Mina Ray Carollo, age 92, of Madison died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her home. She was born April 26, 1926 in Memphis, TN.
Mina was preceded in death by her parents- Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Ray of Lucedale, MS; a brother- Nathan A. Ray of Gautier, MS. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Frank Carollo of Madison, MS; three daughters- Eva Anderson (Larry) of Ridgeland, MS, Mina Watkins (Paul) of Germantown, TN and Frances Addy (Terry) of Madison, MS. Other surviving family includes 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mina is also survived by two sisters- Annetta Ray Kies of Ridgeland, MS and Faye Ray Brophy of Gulfport, MS. Her special caregiver was Ora Adams.
Mina grew up in Water Valley and graduated from King Daughter's Nursing School in Greenville, MS. She married Frank Carollo on January 16, 1949. Mina was a resident of Leland, Ms. for 23 years before the family moved to Jackson and then to Madison. She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison.
