Obituary for Milton Dewitt Hutton
Milton DEWITT Hutton , 81, went home to Heaven on Sunday, January 21, 2018 while surrounded by his family at his home in Brandon. He is a previous resident of Jackson and Raymond, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Sebrell Funeral Home and funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 with visitation to begin at 10:00 AM at Griffith Memorial Baptist Church, 5275 Terry Road, Byram, Mississippi. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in Canton City Cemetery in Canton Mississippi.
He was born December 27, 1936 in Flora, Mississippi, and raised in DeKalb and the small community of Klondite in Kemper County, MS. He was the son of the late Lawrence Dewitt Hutton and Bessie Lynch Hutton.
Mr. Hutton was an active member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church in Byram.
He served with the United States Air Force for eight years.
Mr. Hutton retired with the United States Postal Service. Following his retirement, he moved to Raymond where he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, squirrel hunting and gardening. He is a former baseball coach in the Levell Woods Association in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Pat Fowler Hutton; his sons, Michael Hutton and wife Robin; Randal Hutton and wife, Sheri; and Sheldon Hutton. Step-daughters, Tricia Reynolds and Melanie Boyd and Step-son Mike Bethea, and wife Stephanie. Brother, Bill Hutton and wife Debby; sister, Betty McWilliams and husband Arnold; grandchildren, Brandon Hutton, Justin Hutton, Brianna Reynolds, Natalie Reynolds, Jessica Hinton , Anniston Bethea, Hayden Bethea, Will Hale and Mike Hale; 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his aunt Syble Lynch from Canton, MS.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettye Ann Burdett Hutton who went to be with the Lord on October 18, 1988, his brother, Bobby Hutton, and step-son Rick Bethea.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Peggy Washington for the love and care of Mr. Hutton.
