Obituary for Melvin Aramis Rosario
Melvin Aramis Rosario passed away Wednesday June 23, 2021, at his family’s residence in Byram, MS. He was 72. Melvin was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico July 30, 1948 to the late Roberto Rosario and Ana Duran Ramos.

Melvin was fun-loving, and never met a stranger. He loved music, dancing, and his job in the gaming industry as a Blackjack dealer, just as his co-workers and loyal patrons enjoyed the wit, charm & charisma that came with him. He cherished time with friends. Mel was an avid New Orleans Saints fan from the team’s beginning. He enjoyed watching the games with his sons and/or his friends. When they were apart, he & sons, Chris and Steven, continued it thru texts back and forth, to the end of every game. That was very special times they shared.

Most of all he loved his wife and family. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and true friend who will be greatly missed. He will be especially missed by his son’s mother and longtime friend, Laura Reed and also his good friend, Aaron Loggans, who both helped to care for him the last few months of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Rosario of Vicksburg, MS; his sons, Steven Rosario (Stefanie) of Brandon, MS and Christopher Rosario (Brittany) of Andover, New Jersey; a brother, Eddie Rosario (Darlene) of Hattiesburg, MS; and his grandchildren, Madi Newman, Edan Rosario, Sean Rosario and Anna Rosario.
