Mary "Susan" Schramm, 63, of Jackson, MS, passed away on September 13, 2023. She was born on September 15, 1959, in Evansville, IN, to Mary Frances Grewe and Bernard Grewe. If you knew Susie, you loved her. She possessed a spirit that was unmatched and had the ability to make everyone around her feel loved and comforted. Her presence could light up any room, and her smile and laughter could brighten even the cloudiest of days. Susan loved her family and friends immensely, with her three children being her biggest joy in life. Susan is survived by her daughter Christina Piepenbring, daughter Lauren (James) Cox, son Ian (Ashley) Schramm, brothers Randy Grewe, Benny (Donna) Grewe, Gary Grewe, Danny Grewe, sister Teresa (Russell) Schaffer, granddaughters Flora, Elcie, Henley, and Maisie (with a fifth on the way any day), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Frances Grewe and father Bernard Grewe. Susan worked as an optometrist assistant for many years, but her main role was raising her three children. Her favorite pastime was socializing with her friends and family and playing with her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12 to 2pm, Monday, September 18, 2023, at Sebrell Funeral Home, 425 Northpark Drive in Ridgeland, MS. A graveside service will follow at a later date. Contributions in Susan's memory can be made to the American Heart Association. May you rest in peace by God’s side, Susie. You will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you.
