Obituary for Mary Frances Pate
Mary Frances (Jones) Pate, 80, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Mary Frances was born on December 22, 1937 in Humphreys County; she is the daughter of the late Frank and Vernon (Chapman) Jones of Belzoni, MS. After graduating from Isola High School, she married Harold Pate in 1956. She was a devoted wife and homemaker for their 61 years of marriage. They lived and farmed in Sunflower County until moving to Florence, MS, in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vernon Jones, her spouse Harold Pate, four siblings, Bo Jones, Margie Turnage, Ruth Roberson, and Nell Whittington, a grandson, Ben Knight, and a great grandchild, Ashton Reeves. She is survived by her brother, Frank Jones, (Geraldine) of Florence, her two children, Terry Pate (Kim) of Brandon and Sandra Perry (Ken) of Madison, six Grandchildren; Alicia Stewart (Brad), Michelle Reeves, Mitchell Pate (Kelly), Garrett Pate, Casey Pate, Elizabeth Pate and four great grandchildren; Braden and Ella Stewart, Emily Reeves and Kaydence Pate. The service will begin at 1:30pm at Sebrell Funeral Home, with a visitation beginning at 12:30pm, Thursday, March 22, 2018.
