Elaine Burkett, age 64, passed away at Baptist Hospital after a long lengthy illness on July 20, 2017. Elaine was born August 8th, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana; the daughter of Nip and Evelyn Burkett.
Elaine was a wonderful person who lived her life to the fullest. She had a charismatic personality and made people laugh and feel loved. She was a strong willed lady who blazed her own path. She never forgot to help others along their way. Elaine will be sadly missed and always remembered. To all those left behind there will be an empty space in our hearts. Heaven has been enriched and it just became a more beautiful place.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vickie Johnson, of Natchez; brother, Terry Burkett of Baton Rouge, LA.
She is survived by sister, Sherry Valentine of Natchez; niece, Sandi Brewer of Natchez; nephews, Chris Johnson (Amy) of Natchez and Bryce Burkett of Houston, TX and great nieces, Lauren Johnson of Natchez, Caroline Burkett of Houston, TX and 2 great nephews, Stephen Brewer of Pearl and Brandon Wallace of Natchez; and godson, Justin Cupstid of Pearl, and many close and loving friends.
