Obituary for Mary Ann Mason
MARY ANN MASON
Mary Ann Mason, 72, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Born March 29, 1945 to the late Jessie and Sarah Richardson Mason, she was a native of Magee, MS. She grew up in the care of the The Baptist Children’s Village and had attended Brandon Junior and Senior High Schools. She was a resident of Houston, Texas for many years before moving to Ridgeland where she resided at the time of her passing. In Houston, she owned & operated “From Thought to Finish” art studio for many years. She was a brilliant artist – multi-talented, creative, and keen – from portraits to billboards to business logos, her versatility in her artistry was evident in any endeavor she touched. She was an avid gardener and a lover of sci-fi movies. Mary Ann was loved and will be missed by her many family and friends.
She is survived by her sons: Joseph Fowler (Robin), of Spring, TX; Timothy Scott Fowler, of Pasadena, TX; and Tony M. Fowler (Janice), of Surprise, AZ; sisters: Patricia Mason, of Madison, and Janice Pierce, of Jackson; brothers: John H. Mason (Wanda), of Florence and William Pierce, of Clinton; grandchildren: Starlia Chiappetta, Lindsey Fowler, and Joseph Fowler, Jr.; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland where a Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
