Obituary for Marie Antoinette Alexander Mosal
Marie A. (Toni) Mosal, 100, went to live with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2017. Mrs. Mosal was born in 1917 in Hill, TX to Bess and David Alexander. She graduated from Byrd High School and attended Centenary College. She married John Mosal, Sr. in 1937 and raised her family in Jackson, MS. The last decade of her life was spent at Sunnybrook Retirement Estates where she enjoyed playing bridge and making new friends. During the last 3 years, she was a resident at Highland Home in Ridgeland, MS.
Mrs. Mosal will best be remembered for her sweet nature, kindness and unconditional love shown to all, especially her children. She also had an amazing inner strength that helped her in her life. Being the giving person she was, she dedicated 20 years of her life caring for her mother, Bess Dockery, until she passed away in 2002.
Mrs. Mosal was preceded in death by her husband, John Mosal, Sr., a daughter, Judith Mosal Brent, a granddaughter, Jennifer Ware Mosal and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Pyatt Mosal.
She is survived by her sons, John Mosal, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Madison and Dr. David A. Mosal (Lynn) of Bolton, her daughter, Cathy Mosal Roberts (Dave) of Hattiesburg, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jennifer Ware Mosal Scholarship Fund, 370 Old Agency Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157 or Blair Batson Children’s Hospital, Jackson, MS.
