Born Margaret Louise Bolner on June 2, 1946 to Marty and Dunwood Bolner of Tipp City, OH. She graduated from Tipp City High School in 1964 where she met the love of her life, Tom Larkins. They married in 1965 and had their first child, Andy, in 1966. They moved to New Carlisle, OH shortly after the birth of their second child, Joe, in 1968. The family relocated to Rankin County, MS in 1976.
Peggy was involved with league bowling being a consistent competitor until 2016. She also held multiple league official positions. She was a member o the United States Power Squadron from 1990-2010 and was commander of the Jackson Metro chapter for 2 years. She was a volunteer for the Mississippi Museum of Art and traveled to see several exhibits in Europe including Russia, Germany, France and Spain. Traveling was a favorite pass time. She visited all 50 states, Australia, New Zealand, Central America, and most of the Caribbean Islands. She was especially fond of vacationing in Costa Rica.
Peggy was the ultimate car pool mom, running to school, sports practice and games all the while putting a home cooked meal on the table in the evenings. In 1980 she became the owner of Southern Ice Systems, a family-owned company which provided ice to dozens of stores and restaurants in the Jackson Metro area. After the business sold in 1986, she transitioned to office manager of Tokins, Inc, a family owned precision tool and die shop. She helped run the business until dementia forced her into retirement in 2020.
She lived life to the fullest, loving her family and friends. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of almost 68 years, Tom Larkins, son Andy Larkins (Lesa) of Madison, MS, son Joe Larkins of Gulfport, MS and brother Rick Bolner (Betty Ann) of Huber Heights, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Clark, and brother Keith Bolner.
The family requests a donation in her name to an Alzheimer's/Dementia research foundation in lieu of flowers.
