Obituary for Mae Williamson
Allie “Mae” Williamson, 87 died October 11th , 2018 at Plain View Assisted Living in Richland, MS. Mae was born in Philadelphia, MS to the late Otis and Ozema McClain Gray on April 24th, 1931. She was a wonderful cook that enjoyed cooking for her family and for others when they were in need. She especially enjoyed making candy for others just to see them smile. Mae was a gifted painter and enjoyed painting ceramics and created beautiful things with her hands. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones, as well as her niece Kelly whom she loved as if she were her own daughter. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas W. “Tom Billy” Williamson, Sr.; son: Thomas W. “Billy” Williamson, Jr.; brothers: Jerry Gray and Otis Gray, Jr. She is survived by her son: David (Lisa) Williamson, from Florida; sisters: Margie Cumberland from Florence and Betty Roberts from Brandon; niece Kelly Emmerson from Raymond; and a granddaughter: Sydney Williamson. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 13th, 2018 at Marvin United Methodist Church, 211 N. Church St. , Florence, MS. Visitation is 10:30 A.M. until 11 A.M. followed by a service at 11 A.M. with Reverend Douglas “BB” Watson officiating. Family will have a private interment service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart of Hospice- 1675 Lakeland Drive Suite 407, Jackson, MS 39216 or a charity of your choice.
