Obituary for Lynda Marie Dissoe-Lynn McCool
Lynda Marie Dissoe-Lynn McCool passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was 56. Lynda was born May 19, 1964 in Vicksburg, the daughter of James Eddie Dissoe-Lynn, Sr. and Bonnie Freeman Dissoe-Lynn. She was a long-time, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg where she served in multiple capacities. Lovingly known as “Nana”, she was a wonderful grandmother, mother and daughter. Lynda enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially the beach. She was a very passionate person and served the international communities through her many trips to Honduras.
Lynda is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie McCool.
She is survived by her son, Race McCool; her daughters, Nikki Steele (Mark), Samantha Harthcock and Jessica Shipp (Kevin); brothers, Eddie, Paul, Danny and Jamie Lynn; grandchildren, Maggie Steele, Kimberlyn Slade, Hannah Claire Steele, Bella, Conner and Lucy Harthcock, Blaze, Nova and Serena Shipp.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Vicksburg, with Rev. Matt Buckles officiating.
