In 1947 in Detroit, MI an Aunt introduced her to Sidney Pearson a returning veteran from WWII. They married and in 1948 she had her only child, Rick William Pearson. They became a two income family when she began in retail. She then moved into the computer world and ended her career in retail. She worked part time in real estate after retirement. In the early 1970’s all the Pearson’s had moved to Houston, Texas. She learned the art of painting and became quite good. She enjoyed the art community and made many trips, workshops, shows, friends, and visited many galleries and museums. She searched for landscapes and scenes that inspired her to put them on canvas. She toured Texas roads and towns and collected pictures and postcards of prospective material. She also enjoyed square dancing. She loved the dresses and dancing and travelling to other clubs, cities, and states. There were many performances and lifelong friends created. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking and get-togethers and reunions. She will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home December 13, 2021 at 10 AM with Reverend John Patterson officiating. Visitation begins at 9 AM until 10 AM.
