Liselotte “Liz” Daniels December 30, 1925 – March 27, 2021
Liselotte Hubertina Kuhles Ross Daniels “Liz” passed away at her home in Madison, Mississippi on March 27th, 2021 at the age of 95. Liz was born December 30th, 1925 in Horstel, Germany to John and Gertrude Kuhles.In 1928 Liz boarded the SS Berlin with her parents and sister to America and settled in Texas. She married Laurence Gene Ross and together they had their son Robert (Bobby) Ross. She later met and married Joe Pepper Daniels and together they moved to Mississippi and had two children, a son named Joey Pepper Daniels and a daughter named Carolyn Denise Daniels. To many of her friends, Liz was lovingly known as Mama Liz. She worked at Shamrock Oil and American Cyanamid where she worked as an accountant and dispatcher. She was an avid bowler spanning 20 years and won two championships. She loved gardening, entertaining, music and attending church. She often jokingly said she was going to church early so she could pray for all of us. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, sense of humor and her green thumb. She was always the best dressed with her matching shoes, purse, painted nails and lipstick. She most enjoyed spending time with her children. She managed to land her son Bobby a spot on the “Howdy Doody” show. She was a baseball team mom, she took them camping and she was excited to be able to take them to see Elvis Presley. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Eugenia Bryant and Ida Neusch, her son Bobby Ross, her granddaughter Joanna Daniels and her great grandson Darnell Haywood. She is survived by two children; her son Joey Daniels and wife Cindy; and her daughter Carolyn Powers and Jeff, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Services will be held at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Jackson, Mississippi on March 30, 2021 with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. and funeral starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Black Jack Cemetery in Vaughn, Mississippi. Pall Bearers will be Brian Powers, Dwight Bain, Cayden Moore, Cody Cook, Bert Daniels and Pete Gregory.
