Mrs. Linda Mechelle Stoeckmann, age 63 a resident of Pelahatchie went home to her Savior on November 4, 2022, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson under the loving care of Dr. Maria Rappai. Visitation will be held Friday, November 11th at 9 AM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton, MS, followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 10 AM. Graveside services will be immediately following at Crossroads Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Linda was born on September 27, 1959 to Dorothy and Wayne Beavers. She graduated from Pelahatchie High School and then joined the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Mt. Laguna, California, where she met her husband, Gary. Linda worked for Forestry Suppliers in Jackson, MS and then went home to care for her children and husband.
Linda’s greatest joy on this earth was spending time with her husband, family and friends. She loved attending church at Our Redeemer and especially the ladies of her Tuesday morning Bible study.
She is preceded in death by her father, Earnest Wayne Beavers, father-in-law, Harold Stoeckmann, and mother-in-law, Irene Stoeckmann.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Gary Stoeckmann of Pelahatchie; children, Tony Stoeckmann (Meredith) of Pelahatchie and Leah Babb (Paul) of Brandon. She was “Granny” to six grandchildren, Rylee Sojourner, Laney Bowen, Hadley Babb, Levi Bowen, Reese Stoeckmann, and Mary Mason Maske.
She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy Beavers; sisters, Pam Clark, Brenda Norris (Wayne), Jan Walters (Brian), and Tracy Hollingsworth (Glenn); brothers-in-law, David Clark, Dan Stoeckmann, Dick Stoeckmann along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.
