Obituary for Linda Cowan
Linda Kate Robinson Cowan, 69, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Pine Forest.
Linda was a Christian and adored Elvis. Linda enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, serving stateside. She was Honorably Discharged in 1972. She proudly worked at Derst Baking Co. for twenty-two years, and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University. She was an animal lover and gave a good home to a dozen pets over thirty years. She also enjoyed quilting, painting, learning new things, and watching Star Trek (and scary movies) with her son.
Linda was a great mother. She nurtured her son's creativity, ceaselessly encouraging him to be an author. She is greatly loved and missed.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her older brother, Spencer "Buddy" Robinson Jr, and her sister, Betty Jean Robinson Colby.
Survivors include her son, Michael Cowan, and daughter-in-law Beth Morgan; her younger brother, James Earl Robinson; her sister-in-law Marie Robinson and her brother-in-law Ricky Colby. She is also survived by her nieces Debbie Robinson and Jennifer Colby, and nephews David Robinson, John Robinson & his wife Faith, and David A. Colby.
