Obituary for Lillian Minga
Lillian “Sissy” Watkins Minga, 65, passed away Sunday, December 30th, 2018, at Baptist Hospice in Jackson, MS. She was born October 3rd, 1953 in Houston, TX, to Roger H. and Virginia Faye Watkins.
Sissy was a resident of Hazlehurst, MS and a member of First Baptist Church in Terry, MS. She was a devoted Mother, Nana, Daughter, and Sister and had a sincere love for God.
Sissy loved to talk with friends and being with family. Her grandson, Tanner Durr, was the apple of her eye, the love of her life, her one and only and everyone knew it. He was the light in her life.
She has a great sense of humor like her father and was always joking with everyone. Her nurses at the hospital all loved to come in her room to hear all of her stories.
Sissy was preceded in death by her father- Roger H. Watkins, Sr.; sister- Renee Guidroz; and brother- Roger H. Watkins Jr.
Sissy is survived by her daughter- Angela (Tim) Durr; mother- Faye (Bob) Whittmann; her grandson- Tanner Durr; brothers- Ben (Rosie) Watkins and Mark (Anita) Watkins; sisters- Carol Thomas and Alice Dennis; and sister-in-law- Kathy Watkins.
The family would like to personally thank the staff of Baptist Hospital, Baptist Hospice and the nursing staff at Copiah Medical Center.
