Obituary for Lexie Ruth Alexander
Lexie Ruth Alexander, 85, passed away Friday March 13, 2020 at her residence in Ridgeland, MS. She was born on April 30, 1934 to the late Holly and Agnes Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Madison, MS. Lexie loved gardening and was very good at it; she had a variety of beautiful flowers and many different vegetables. She enjoyed walking daily, to put it quite simply, she enjoyed being outdoors. She loved animals, especially her dogs, she doted on them and adored them. As she advanced in age, she also enjoyed senior activities. Lexie is preceded in death by her parents, Holly Harris and Agnes Knight Harris, son, David Lee Alexander, sister, Jeanette Dean, and three brothers, Billy Harris, Harvey Harris, and Robert Harris. She is survived by her daughters; Jackie Alexander, Susan Alexander, and Judy Davis, brothers, Donald Harris, Mitchell Harris, and James Harris “Pedo”, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Lexie will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her. A graveside service will be held, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Union, MS at 2:00p.m.
