Obituary for Lawrence Conrad Griffith
Lawrence C. "Griff" Griffith Brandon Lawrence C. Griffith, better known as "Griff", died peacefully December 13, 2016 after a spectacular fight with multiple myeloma. He was born August 2, 1941 in Mexico, Missouri, to Thelda and William Griffith and is preceded in death by both. He loved the outdoors; fishing, duck hunting or simply sitting in a deer stand enjoying nature. During his 50+years in the advertising industry he often made sure that outdoor activities were available to clients and vendors alike. He entertained neighbors and sat around in the garage telling stories. Griff caught the RV bug and on his very first motor home, he inscribed on the front "Because He Lives" so that when people asked what it meant he could share the gospel. He loved his church, Lakeside Presbyterian, and he adored his neighbors in Northshore Village. Griff is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann Griffith, his son Conrad, in-laws; Margaret and John Baker, Gay Hall, Tina Cole and Johnna Baker; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Hall, Crystal Hall, Tyler Cole and Evan Cole and a wonderful array of friends. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. on Friday, December 16th at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon. Memorial Service will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, December 17th at Lakeside Presbyterian. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to Lakeside Presbyterian Missions, 2070 Spillway Rd., Brandon, MS 39047.
