Obituary for Lavonne Burnley Frazier
Lavonne D. Burnley Frazier passed into eternal peace with her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2016.
Mrs. Frazier was a native of Simpson County, and is predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Effie Ashley Durden, husbands, William A. Frazier and Earl R. Burnley, Sr., her son, Earl R. Burnley, Jr. HN USN, grandson, Joe H. Reel, Jr. and two sisters.
She is survived by daughters, Wanda Reed (Jimmy) and Victoria Necaise (Sam), and son Thomas Burnley. Also she is survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four brothers, three sisters, and her beloved dog, KitKat.
Mrs. Frazier was a hairdresser, owning and operating Magic Touch Beauty Salon in Jackson for fifty years, later becoming a cosmetology instructor for a number of years in the 1980-90s. She was an avid league and tournament bowler for over fifty years.
She loved her family dearly, and always found something to like in each person she met. Never would she turn her back on anyone in need if she could be of help, often offering food and shelter for family and friends. She instilled perseverance, strength and love in her children, and leaves them, these gifts.
Mrs. Frazier's family expresses sincere thanks to all the kind staff at Brandon Court, who loved and cared for her, and to all the clergy and friends at Brandon Court who visited and fellowshipped with her.
A private funeral service was held on Monday. Memorials may be to Alzheimer's Association , MS Animal Rescue League, or a favorite charity .
