Obituary for Kimbrell Scholz Dunaway

A native of Hattiesburg and born on June 23, 1961, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Easterling Scholz and the late David Carl Scholz.
After graduating Brandon High School, she attended Mississippi State University where she received her baccalaureate degree in education. For a number of years, she taught kindergarten before starting her family and dedicating her life to raising her three children. She loved and nurtured them into adulthood; her devotion to them was unparalleled. She carried this same affection into her surrounding family and friends, always making people feel welcome and special. She was a wonderful homemaker whose talents ranged from baking to crafts and managing a lovely home for her family. She loved sports, especially NASCAR and the New Orleans Saints. She had a deep warmth and love for animals and her pets, especially her cats “Greyson” and “Finley.”
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Easterling and Mr. & Mrs. Harry Scholz.
She is survived by her loving mother Mary Ann Easterling Scholz, of Brandon; her three children: son Parker Alexander Dunaway, of New Orleans and twins, son Tyler Reed Dunaway, of New Orleans and daughter Mackenzie Elizabeth Dunaway, of Baton Rouge; aunt Carol E. English, of Brandon, whom she loved very much. She is also survived by cousins, Allen Hart, of Jackson, Kristi Cohen, of Hollywood, FL, and Jaime Scholz, of Orlando, and aunt Jeri Scholz, of Hollywood, FL, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31 at Sebrell Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin an hour prior to the service.
