Obituary for Kenneth Ray Ross
Kenneth Ray Ross, 62 died Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Ray was born on May 7, 1959, in Arcola, MS; the son of the late, Glynn Ross and Sam Wigley and Doris Wigley.
A hard worker, Ray began his career in the marine towing industry working for both Vickers Towing Company and Brent Marine for 15 years. He also worked Capital Concrete Cutting for 7 years before becoming a truck driver. Ray currently was working for MCH Transportation.
Ray loved people and was known never to have met a stranger. A faithful Christian, he was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Jackson. He enjoyed country music, especially George Jones. Ray enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood movies and his favorite movie the Godfather.
Although a hard worker, Ray cherished spending his time with his family and loved to be outside. He enjoyed mowing his grass and working in his shop.
He will be most remembered a beloved husband, a devoted father, a cherished brother and loyal friend.
Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Angela Ross of Clinton; daughter, Kimberly Woodward and her husband, Dustin of Clinton; brothers, Jeff and Mark Wigley both of Clinton; brother-in-law, David Clark of Clinton; sister-in-law, Linda Jones and her husband, Richard of Clinton; sister-in-law, Deborah Clark of Brandon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
