Obituary for Kathy Jean Kittrell
Kathy Jean Adcock Kittrell, 68, went to Heaven on December 29, 2017. Kathy was a wonderful, loving wife, a great and fabulous, most loving mother to Hailey. She loved children, took care of her nieces and nephews for many years. Her life was totally wrapped around her grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn, Ashlyn, and Joshua. She was one of 10 siblings, including 5 boys and 5 girls. Kathy was born in Louisville, MS., the middle sister of five. She moved to Meridian next door to her husband to be. They were truly childhood sweethearts, married in 1970. Kathy enjoyed watching the Ole Miss Rebels play baseball and football. She always had a smile to share with others and was a very kind and helpful person. Mrs. Kittrell was preceded in death by her parents, John Chandler and Bernice Estelle Adcock, brothers, Benny Adcock, JT Adcock, and Jimmy Adcock; and brother in law, Butch Ivey. She is survived by her husband Robert D. Kitrell, daughter, Hailey Kitrell, grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Rhaly, Ashlyn Mackenzie Rhaly, and Joshua Cameron Jones; Brothers, Charles Adcock and John C. Adcock, sisters, Onita Hall (Bill), Shirley Ivey, Teri Lesley (Graig), and Margaret McGraw (Mike), and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 1:00PM.
