Obituary for Katherine Bryan Lampton
Katherine Lampton died December 6, 2018 from injuries resulting from a fall. Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Monday, December 10 after 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Andrews Cathedral. The Requiem Eucharist will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Cathedral with private inurnment at a later date. Katherine Anderson Bryan was born March 27, 1928 to her parents, Harry M. and Katherine Anderson Bryan. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia and a lifelong communicant of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral. She married Robert Benjamin Lampton on August 17, 1950 and together they had five children: Kate, Mary, Bob, Bryan and Jim. Her husband, Ben, preceded her in death as well as her parents and brother, Harry. She is survived by her five children, fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren with another due in January, and two nephews. She was very proud of her large family and was loved dearly by us all. In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be sent to the Lampton Fund at St. Andrew’s Cathedral (P.O. Box 1366, Jackson, MS 39215-1366), established in memory of our father for discretionary use or Mississippi Animal Rescue League, as she loved her dogs, at 5221 Greenway Drive Ext., Jackson MS 39204.
