Obituary for Judy Bland
Judy L. Bland, Age 61, went home to be with the Lord: Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born June 24, 1959, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Rupert and Dean Bland.
Judy was a dedicated Christian. Judy loved sharing her feelings about the Lord and how he has changed her life and how blessed she was in every aspect. She would make sure that if you needed prayer, she would be there to offer. If you were lost, she would try to guide you to Christ.
Judy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Judy was a self-less, giving person. She would do anything to help family, friends, or even a total stranger. She loved fishing, hunting, motorcycles, but most of all her grandchildren. They truly were the light of her life.
Judy was a grand storyteller. Her storytelling could make you laugh, cry and everything in between. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Judy was preceded in death by Her Father, Rupert Bland, Her Mother Dean Bland, Sister Pauline Bland Liles, and Brother Chester O’Neal Bland.
She is survived by her Daughter Kacey Leigh Smith (Christopher) and a Niece she thought of as her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Sims (Curtis); Siblings, Wayne Bland (Ethel), Linda Kay Tagert (Jesse), Barbara Bland (James Mangum), Albert Bland (Terri) and caretaker/sister/beloved best friend Deborah Bland.
Memorial Services to be held at Gunter Road Baptist Church, 1220 Gunter Road, Florence, Mississippi, 39073, June 5, 2021, Visitation at 1:30 PM, followed by services at 2:00 PM. Judy that all friends and family to bring a single flower of their choosing to be placed in a vase.
