Judith Eileen Perkins Williams passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital Friday, September 2, 2022, surrounded by friends and family. Judith, known as "Judy" to those close to her, was born in Vicksburg, MS to the late John Wesley Perkins and Hilda Mae Clement. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her eldest son, David C Robertson and her brother David Perkins. Judith, a Mississippi native, had the opportunity to live in several states across the United States due to her father's work as a federal game warden. Judith had her first child, David C Robertson in 1965 in Vicksburg, MS. Her second child, Daniel Palin (Danny) was born in Germany where her husband was stationed. Her last child, Tara Shea Williams was born in Jackson, MS where Judith stayed until her death. Judith enjoyed travel and in particular loved her time spent in Germany. She spent much time reminiscing over the beauty as well as the pastries she experienced while there.
It didn't take long after meeting her to know that she was one of the most giving souls you would ever meet. Whether it was through food, clothes, money, or work you could rest assured that if she knew there was a need, she would do what she could to be sure it was met. Her children never had a visit in which she wasn't piling them with leftovers from the refrigerator or some item she had purchased just because. She was truly one of the most giving people you would ever meet. Unfortunately, Judith's life wasn't always easy as there were times when she had to walk to work and sew patches onto her two eldest children's clothing but, as was her nature, she did so with love and never complained. Whatever life threw in her direction, she always found a way to not only persevere but to do so with a smile. She was very active in her church, Henderson Road Baptist church which later changed to Parkside Baptist Church, especially while her daughter was in the youth. Judith sewed many costumes for programs and was always able to be counted on for whatever need arose. She had a true love for Christ and a passion for learning more of His word.
Judith spent the latter part of her life attending auctions and enjoying flea markets. She made many friends within the auction world and definitely developed a collection of treasures.
Judith leave behind her husband, James Ebbie Williams of Jackson son, Danny Palin (Janet) of Florence, MS, her daughter, Tara Shea Bradley (Chris) of Jackson, MS, 4 grandchildren, Blake Robertson, Brandon Robertson, Cheyenne Autum Bradley, and Bryceson Bradley; her sister, Barbara Kaneiwa of Savannah, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. A graveside service will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon. Visitation will held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at Sebrell Funeral Home and will continue at 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
