Joe Sebro passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30th, at Baptist Hospital, surrounded by his family, at the age of 71. Joseph Benjamin Sebro was born on November 13th, 1953, in Hazelhurst, Mississippi.
Joe was married to his wife, Karen, for 46 fun-filled years. During that time, they were inseparable. Together, they enjoyed glamping in their RV, boating, listening to live music, taking trips, and spending time with family and friends. If a glass of bourbon was included, even better.
As co-owner of Ridgeland Body Shop, Joe wore many hats and wore them proudly for 25 years. He was a loyal leader and friend to his employees. He loved helping and building relationships with his customers and never forgot a name or face. He also had a brief career driving a school bus for the Rankin County School District. Joe ended his working days at Barnett Body Shop. He retired three times, but his love for people kept him going back for more.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Joy, and many fur babies he loved and cared for throughout the years. He is survived by his wife, Karen; fur babies Sofia and Willow; brother, Pat (Connie); nieces, Brittany Boyett (Tyler) and Brecken Williams (Chase); brother-in-law, Andy Kane (nephew, Jared); sister-in-law, Wendy Franklin (Larry); best friend, David Harris (Terri); and many friends he considered family.
Joe was laid to rest in an intimate graveside service in Dentville, Mississippi on Monday, December 2nd.
