Obituary for John Caeser D'Isepo
John Caesar D’Isepo, 83, passed away April 2 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, April 5, at the Episcopal Church of the Creator, 1445 Clinton Raymond Rd, Clinton, with visitation in the Parish Hall at 10 a.m. immediately preceding the service. The Rev. Robert Blanton will officiate. John was born March 12, 1935, in Hollywood, FL, to Helen and Caesar D’Isepo. He graduated from Florida State University and the Jackson School of Law. On August 16, 1963, he married the former Marilyn L. Rayfield in Fort Lauderdale. John served in the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps in the 1960s. He was retired from Stearns and Foster and Jackson State University. John was an avid craftsman and was highly skilled in woodworking, creating many beautiful pieces that are treasured by family and friends. He dedicated many weekends as a volunteer at the Clinton Nature Center, helping to preserve the natural beauty of the area. He was a member and a former vestry member of the Episcopal Church of the Creator. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; two daughters, Amy E. Daniel and Jennifer L. Lord, and two grandchildren, Tyler B. Daniel and Landon P. Daniel. He is also survived by brother Thomas D’Isepo and sisters Elaine D’Isepo Helms and Adele D’Isepo Andrews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Andrew D’Isepo. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Mississippi State Veterans Home for the caring treatment they provided during his stay there with Parkinson’s disease and later his critical care and care in the Palliative Care unit of the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital. Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Creator or the Clinton Nature Center. —
