Obituary for John Thomas Martin
John Thomas Martin, 64, passed away May 22, 2020 at his home in Jackson, A family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Sebrell Funeral Home with burial following in Rocky Hill Church Cemetery.

John was born on September 9, 1955 in Jackson, the son of the late Willie and Mary Ann Martin. He retired from the State of Mississippi where he worked in information technology.

A wonderful and loving father, he enjoyed reading, taking walks in the park and watching Gunsmoke. John was kind and generous always helping and lending a hand when needed. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Byram.

He will be most remembered as a cherished father and beloved brother.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his niece, Amy Mitcham Morris.

He is survived by son, Ronnie Martin of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Laci Martin of Brandon and their mom, Cynthia Morris of Brandon; sisters, Ann Shivers and her husband Otha of Cameron, MS; sister, Judy Williams and husband, Kenneth of Brandon; sister, Mary Mitcham and husband Vernon of Pelahatchie; nieces, Stephanie Holt and Michelle Whitehead and nephews, Randy Williams, Jay Shivers and Michael Mitcham.
