She was an outstanding mother and loving wife who served God faithfully. Joan was actively involved in church teaching children for many years and has been a member of First Baptist Church Jackson for 45 years. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and active in Delta Gamma. She enjoyed riding horses with her family at Stockett Stables and served as president of both One O’clock Luncheon Club and Le Dejeuner. Throughout her entire life she remained a loving Southern Lady, and she was thankful for all the people at The Blake who cared for her.
