Jeweline (Jerri) Dotson of Brandon, MS at the age of 77 passed away at her home on November 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Jerri was born on February 1, 1945 to Ebeneza and Louise Williams in Braxton, MS
Jerri married the love of her life, Samuel D. Dotson Jr. on July 22, 1961. After graduating from Lanier H.S. in Jackson Mississippi in 1963, Jerri and Sam relocated to Waukegan, IL. In 1967, she went to work for Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL and dedicated 32 years of service before her retirement in 1999.
Jerri was a faithful parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church, serving many years as Eucharistic Minister.
Jerri leaves to cherish her memories, devoted husband and best friend, Samuel D. Dotson Jr. of 61 years, her Son, Victor D. Dotson of Brandon MS., Daughter; Samantha Dotson-Cruz of Waukegan, IL, Son; Samuel (Silvia) D. Dotson III of Port Richey, Florida, Sisters; Irene Derden of Ensenada Mexico and Doris Cox Bell of Star MS. Grandsons; Shafi (Amber) D. Darr, Carlos M. Cruz Jr., Samuel (Juan) L. Zavala, Malik Dotson, Jakobe K. Attaway, Grand Daughters; Samaria D. Dotson, Siani D. Dotson, Daniela S. Dotson, Danea S. Dotson, 2 great grandsons and 3 great grand daughters
Jerri was preceded in death by her Mother, Louise Williams, Father; Ebeneza Williams, great grand daughter, Sytera M. Darr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, 5971 Hwy 25, Flowood MS 39232., Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. the church. Interment will follow at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery.
