Obituary for Jerry Delaine Ashley
Jerry Delaine Ashley, 70, died Friday, December 10, 2021 at Highland Home. A graveside service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Edwards Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Edwards Baptist Church in Edwards
Mr. Ashley was born on September 28, 1951, in Sledge, MS, the son of the late John and Avanelle Ashley. A longtime resident of Edwards, he retired in 2015 from Ferrell Calhoun where he worked in as a customer service representative.
An avid reader, he enjoyed Louis Lamoure novels and also enjoyed fishing. He loved Ole Miss Football. Mr. Ashley cherished spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
He most will be remembered as a loving father a devoted grandfather and loving brother.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ashley.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, Masks will be required to be worn at all times.
He is survived by a daughter Faith Ashley Shelton and husband Michael of Clinton; grandchildren, Alyssa and Zachary Shelton; brother, Larry Ashley and wife Joyce of Flowood; brother, Terry Ashley and wife Brenda of Crystal Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.
