Obituary for Jeffrey Robert Adams
Jeffrey Robert Adams, 55, went home to join Our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 20, 2021 peacefully as he fell asleep at home in Jackson, MS.
Jeffrey (or Jeff as he was known by family and friends) was born on November 29, 1965, in Shreveport, LA to Mae Ann and Leland Adams Jr. At the age of 20, he became a father as he welcomed his first child (and only daughter) Tiffany Leigh into the world. 9 months later, he was blessed again with his only son, Leland Sparrow. Jeff’s passion in life was his two children and his grandchildren. Anyone can tell you that he never missed an opportunity to talk about them and would drop everything if they called. He was a strong individual that would make the best of any situation and would often help a friend in need before himself. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter and ability to have a good time, any time! Jeff lived almost every day like it could be his last, making the most out of every moment the lord granted him.
Jeff worked most of his life as a house painter and floor covering specialist. He loved the freedom of not being cooped up in a dull office and using his hands to turn something broken or unaesthetically pleasing into something new and beautiful.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mae Ann Adams Champion.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Tonya Adams, his father Leland S Adams Jr, his Aunt Betty Salers (Dudley). His siblings: Jacque Adams Jackson (Randy) and Stephen Adams (Cindy). Left to carry on his legacy are his children: Tiffany Leigh Morgan Viator (Grant) and Leland Sparrow Adams III. His grandchildren whom he adored: Kaleb Anthony Breaux, Audrey Paige Viator, and Jolie Mae Viator. And his extended family and friends.
Due to Covid restriction, a private family service will be held at Forest Park West in Shreveport, LA at a later date.
The family ask, in lieu of flowers, donation be made in his name to The American Cancer Society or The Shriner's Children's Hospital.
