Obituary for Jeanette W. Kennedy
Jeanette W. Kennedy passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in her home in Pearl.
A native of Magee, MS, born October 19, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth D. Wilborn and the late Margaret Ann Lucas Wilborn. Always known for being a hardworker, she adored her family and friends. If she loved you, she fed you. She loved all things Alabama….”Roll Tide.” Jeanette was the glue that kept her family together. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and loyal friend. She will be missed so dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Ray Wilborn and Buddy Wilborn.
She is survived by her fiancée’ and best friend, Jimmie “Pops” McClellan; her four children: Will Stephens (Cher), of Richland; Jim Stephens and Christopher Freeman, both of Pearl; Shai Fayette (Gary Windham), of Pelahatchie; sisters, Roxanne Hubbard (Terrapin) and Shelley Longest, both of Calhoun City; brothers: Jerry Wilborn (Patsy), of Flowood; Ronnie Wilborn (Dee Dee), of Pearl; and Donnie Wilborn (Teresa), of Jackson; grandchildren: Jonathan Stephens and Jackson Fayette; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Braxton, Rev. Sammy Jayroe and Rev. Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 10 am until the hour of the service at the church.
The family would like to express their gratitude and deepest appreciation to the First Responders who came to Jeanette’s aid including the Pearl Police and Fire Departments and Pafford EMT.
