Obituary for Jeanette O’Quinn
Jeanette O’Quinn, 60, died August 24 2017 at Forest General in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Victory First Congregational Methodist Church, 1230 Shiloh Fire Tower Road, Foxworth, MS, followed by burial in the Foxworth Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
Jeanette was born on January 25, 1957, in Bassfield, Mississippi, the daughter of the late, Henry T.C. Cook and Goldie Mae Cook. Jeanette was full of life and loved being around children and lived by the motto “If you mind me, I’ll mind you!” Jeanette loved the outdoors and feeling the dirt in her fingers while gardening. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and was a member of the Victory First Congregational Methodist Church.
Jeanette was loved by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Anne Rankin.
Survivors include: son, Alan Bell of Laurel, MS; grandchildren, Savannah Bell and Emma Grace Bell; brother, James B. Cook and his wife Nita of Quitman, MS; sister, Rita Harper and her husband Steve of Jackson, AL; sister, Hazel Griffis of Tylertown, MS; and extended family including, Johnnny O’Quinn; Joyce O’Quinn, Deb Crain and her husband David; Marcy Stogner and her husband Justin; nieces, Tosha McRaney and husband Mark of Tylertown, MS; Lisa Ramos and husband Tommy of Foxworth, MS and many other nieces and nephews and other loving family members and her four legged baby, Scarlett O’Hara.
