Obituary for Jeanette Deen Hudson
Jeanette Deen Hudson of Jackson, MS. passed away on September 10, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 72 years old. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Trace Ridge Baptist Church in Ridgeland, MS from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow. A graveside will be held at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Miss Hudson was born in Jackson, MS to the late Rayford Jr. and Brunette Deen Hudson. She graduated from Murrah High School and went on to get her Education Degree from Belhaven and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She taught elementary school for many years in D’Iberville. She was a very active member at Trace Ridge Baptist Church in Ridgeland where she taught Vacation Bible School, helped in the nursery and taught Sunday School. Jeanette volunteered at the YMCA in Jackson where she taught children about the love of GOD. She made it her mission to bring others to Christ. Jeanette loved animals almost as much as she loved children. Her family, especially her nieces and nephews, were the highlight of her life. She always had time for them and was willing to help them in any way. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Jeffrey Fowler Hudson. She is survived by her brother, Rayford R. Hudson III, her nephews, Rayford R. Hudson IV (Jennifer) and Tom Hudson (Linda Carol) and 8 great nieces and nephews, Hayden, Hannah, Hally Grace, Katherine, Ford, Mary Fowler, Carol Ann and Kirkland Hudson. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Trace Ridge Baptist Church at 238 Lake Harbor Drive Ridgeland, MS. 39157.
