Obituary for Janice Allison
- Janice (Jan) Garner Allison, 68, of Ridgeland, MS passed away peacefully, after a long illness, at The Orchard on November 30, 2017. Now she is rejoicing in Heaven and being reunited with family and friends and seeing Jesus face to face. Jan was born in Brookhaven, MS on August 11, 1949 to John and Alyne Garner. Jan married John Samuel Allison on December 21,1969 and together they had 2 children. Jan graduated from The University of Mississippi. She loved God, family, life, music, and her work at Millsap’s College Library. Jan is survived by her husband, John, children, Jeff (Cassandra) Allison of San Diego, CA and Jessica Allison of Olive Branch, MS and a grandchild, Phoebe Allison of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jon (Ray) Rhodes, as well as one aunt, Betty Price of Tupelo, MS and many cousins. A memorial service will be held at Broadmoor Baptist church in Madison, MS on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation at 1:00pm. The family would like to thank the staff at The Orchard for their kind, professional and helpful assistance to Jan during her stay. In lieu of flowers, the family also requests any memorials be forwarded to the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s associations of Mississippi
