Obituary for Janet McMullen Renfroe
Janet McMullen Renfroe passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was 82. A native of Indianola, MS, born November 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Adelle and Dewey McMullen. Memaw, as her adoring family called her, was incredibly loving, generous, accepting, and kind. She was a strong woman who loved life and made everyone around her want to be a better person. Her happiness and giving spirit were uplifting to anyone around her. Her family was her heart and she was the heart of her family. She was the most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed tremendously. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Howard Renfroe, and her siblings: Joannne Tanksley, Leola Boutwell, Harvey McMullen, Lester McMullen, Edward McMullen, and Maurice McMullen. She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Kathy Glenn (Tim), of Canton, MS; son, Sammy Renfroe (Gail), of Kathleen, GA; son, Danny Renfroe (Sonya), of Flowood, MS; brother, Billy McMullen (Shirley), of Byram, MS; grandchildren: Christopher Renfroe, Sam Renfroe, Jr., Adam Renfroe, Dan Renfroe, Kasey Graben, Nathan Glenn, and Ashley Laskin; great grandchildren: Ryan, Madden, Kaylee Grace, Madison, Luke, Noah, Carson, Miller, Easton, Zoe, Cayman, and Rhodes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
