Obituary for Janet Glaze Findley
Janice Glaze Findley passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022, after an extended stay at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Janice was born to Robert and Zola Glaze on May 20, 1950, in Memphis, TN. When she was born, all of heaven sang! Her love for laughter and connection with others were apparent at a young age. Never meeting a stranger or withholding a smile, Janice loved people. Because people could sense her genuine concern and compassion for them, all who met her loved her in return. Even in her darkest moments, Janice had room in her heart for others. Her spirit of empathy and service led her to become a registered nurse. Whether she was taking care of critically ill patients in the hospital or supporting them as a Certified Case Manager, Janice was vigilant in getting patients the help and support they needed. She brought this same commitment to her role as a wife and mother. Janice gave birth to three daughters, Leanne, Jennifer and Laura Katherine. After reuniting with and marrying her high school classmate, Allen Findley, she welcomed three step-daughters – Bunny, Mary Kelly and Erin. The two families were fortunate to become one, claiming each other as family bonded with love. Despite the many difficulties Janice experienced during her life, she absolutely loved being alive. Regardless of how she was feeling, she wanted the time with her loved ones to be fun, ever proclaiming, “We’re going to have a good time!” Janice’s steadfast love for Jesus Christ and her family was the cornerstone of her life. Although she will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she has been reunited with her Lord and many loved ones who preceded her in death. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zola Glaze, and her daughter Jennifer Logan Walley. She leaves behind her husband, Dr. Allen Findley, and five children: Leanne Logan Robinson (Randy); Laura Katherine Tannehill (Josh); Bunny Beilman (Peter); Mary Kelly Branning (Jason); Erin Miller (Ryan). Her precious grandchildren: Sarah Beth and Addyson Walley, Joshua, Zola, and Lucy Glaze, Judah Tannehill, Jack, Emily, and Charlotte Beilman, Meg, Charlie, Benjamin, and Wilson Branning, and Shirley Cate, Gracie, and Max Miller. Her siblings Jack Glaze (Kathie) and Allison Wilson. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Hospice Ministries for embodying the hands and feet of Jesus and loving Janice during the last phase of her life. They became her family and she theirs. Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS, with visitation at 1:00 PM and funeral at 2:00 PM. A graveside memorial will be held at later date.
