Obituary for Janet Gay Culpepper Douglas
Jan Douglas, of Madison, MS affectionately referred to as Nony, went to her Eternal Home on Wednesday, January 26th 2022.
Jan was born to James F. & Bertie M. Culpepper of Florence, MS on December 7th 1945. Jan is survived by her husband, James Edward Douglas of Madison MS. Her three children, Sharon Hickman Smith, of Madison , (Robert), Chris Hickman of Deville, LA (Claudette), Terry Hickman of Florence, (Irene), one Step Son, John Douglas of Pearl (Judy), 2 Siblings, Mary Graham of Clinton, Joel Culpepper (Fair) of Florence, MS 9 Grandchildren, and many beloved Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Father, James Fulton Culpepper, and Mother, Bertie Mae Culpepper of Florence, MS.
Nony loved spending time with her Great Grands, flower gardening, playing the piano, and singing with her Sweetheart. Jan & her husband James, enjoyed being in business together, and serving MS for over 30 years. She was a proud and faithful Member of Parkway Church of Madison, MS.
Nony will be greatly missed, as she was the Encourager, prayer warrior, and the rock of the Family. We look forward to seeing her again one day soon in heaven.
