A native and lifelong resident of Flora, born June 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Americas Sigrest, Jr. and Ruby Hazel Thompson Sigrest.
Of Jane’s many talents and hobbies were sewing and artistic abilities especially with any type of crafts. She was also a collector of antiques and was an excellent cook. Above all, Jane loved the Lord and her family more than anything. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and loyal friend. She will be remembered for how she gave love to her children and her family and, in turn, taught them how to love. She will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Herman Thomas Quattlebaum, Sr.; and sisters, Jackie Rankin and Jenny Lou Phillips. She is survived by daughter, Janette Martin; sons, Tommy Quattlebaum and Randy Quattlebaum (Brenda); daughter, Johanna Bowman (Kenneth); son, Kevin Quattlebaum; sister, Judith Aileen Bradshaw (Bob); brother, Tony Sigrest (Mary); grandchildren: Jackie, Paula, Paul, Dale, Joseph, Matthew, Christy, Jeremy, Melanie, Alicia, and Amy; great grandchildren: Jacob, Vinnie, Hunter, Caetlind, McKayla, Landen, Spencer, Seth, Maygan, Ashlee, Hayden, Reese, James, Lucy Jane, Brittney, Anna, Trace, Wyatt, Alysha, Ashley, Rachel, Jonathan, Addy, and Ivy; great great grandchildren: Mathias, Eira Jane, and McKenzi; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family, especially Janette, Tommy, Randy, and Johanna, wish to express their love and gratefulness to their little brother, Kevin, for his devoted, tender and loving care provided to their mother. The family is grateful to Jane’s hospice caregivers: Lauren, Brenda, and Autumn for the excellent care they provided as well.
