Obituary for James Troy Hester
James Troy Hester, 73, died on June 22, 2021 at Baptist Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Jessamine Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
James was born on October 1, 1947, in Webster County, the son of the late Troy and Waunell Hester. He graduated in 1966 from Eupora Consolidated High School. He enjoyed spending time with friends, playing pool, watching NASCAR, cheering for Ole Miss and the New Orleans Saints. He also enjoyed NHRA drag racing with Mars Motorsports. James retired from Morco Food Distributors where he worked as a truck driver. James also owned and operated numerous businesses throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a nephew.
