Obituary for James Patrick Featherston, R.N.
James Patrick Featherston, 65, of Madison passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022. He was born in Jackson, Ms. On August 30, 1956 to the late Dr. William Preston Featherston and Dorthy Stiles Featherson. Pat was a registered nurse and worked at St. Dominic for many years; he also worked at University of Mississippi Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital until his retirement at the end of January!

Pat was a very skilled and compassionate nurse as well as a thoughtful coworker often volunteering to work on holidays so they could be with their children and families! He was a fabulous guitarist and played in the praise band at his church when he wasn’t working. He was a devoted Christian and scholar of the Bible and an avid history fan especially WWII! He was the kindest, funniest and brightest person you could have ever known! Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Ola M Dohlstom and a sister, Sylvia Loveless

He is survived by his brothers, William Preston Featherston, Jr, Stephen Eugene Featherston, John Michael Featherston and his sisters, Donna Featherston Lovitt and Becky Featherston Chamberlain; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested for donations to be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi 800 Avery Blvd. Ridgeland, Ms. Or charity of their choice.
