Obituary for James Michael "Dusty" Holeman
James Michael “Dusty” Holeman, 58, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hospice Ministries. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Sallis Cemetery in Attala County. Dusty was born on March 23, 1959 in Durant, the son of the late James and Barbara Holeman. A 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University, he earned his degree in Civil Engineering. A professional engineer, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon Engineering Honor Societies. Dusty worked at Entergy for 20 years and his most current employment was as Transmission Manager of Chain Electric. He was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife Patsy Holeman of Madison; daughter, Whitney Branch (Scott) of Laurel and their daughter Ava; son, Wade Holeman of Atlanta, GA and brother, Rusty Holeman (Wanda) of Pearl. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunnybrook Children’s Home, P.O. Box 408, Ridgeland, MS 39158 or Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church, 750 Pear Orchard Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
