James Edward Terry III of Laguna Hills,CA formerly of Clinton,Mississippi, passed away December 6,2016,after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marie Terry of Columbia,MS.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joan Alford Terry of Mission Viejo,Ca, son Ryan Terry of Flora, MS, daughter Allyn Ann Simpson(Jeremy)of Mission Viejo,CA,and precious granddaughter,Georgia Claire; sisters Carolyn Crawford(Pat) of Baton Rouge,La and Judy Tanner(Scott) of Lucedale,MS., and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jim was born in Columbia,MS. He attended Pearl River JR College and received a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Mississippi. He spent a year in Miami,Florida Appraisal School. Jim was a real estate appraiser for FHA, HUD, and the VA. In 1986 he started his own business, Jim Terry Appraisal Service of Clinton,MS.
Jim was a member of First Baptist Church Clinton, a former president of the Jackson Area USM Big Gold Club, and coached many of his kid's softball, basketball, and baseball teams.
A Memorial Service and Dessert Reception will be held on January 21,2017,at 2pm in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church Clinton. Friends and former business colleagues are all invited to attend.
