Obituary for James "Bubba" Clyde Murray
James “Bubba” Clyde Murray Heaven received an amazing loving soul Monday evening November 30, 2020. Bubba was born on November 16, 1952 in Houston, TX. In his 68 years on earth, Bubba loved and traveled the South. He was the life of the party. Among his greatest joys were his fur-family “Buck & Bailey” and riding his bike along the MS Coast. Throughout Bubba’s life he had two main places he called home: Madison, MS (where he grew up and went to grade school) and Long Beach, MS (where he raised “Buck & Bailey” and was the Uncle next door for his community). One of his proudest accomplishments was graduating as a Journalist from The University of Southern MS. Despite the struggle of his vision, Bubba always found ways to enjoy life. His adventures included: being a roadie for Jimmy Buffet, a season of helping raise his niece and nephews, watching after a friend’s children while teaching them how to ride their bikes, and fully embracing the laidback beach life taking in every sunset and scene God provided. The last several years of his life he could be found giving back to his community by working with his family at First United Methodist Church. We will always remember him for his love of music, sports, and Paul Harvey… “and that’s the rest of the story”. Going before him were: his mother Imogene “Jean” Murray, father Clyde “Bill” Clifton Murray, his older brother Bob Murray, and his niece Kim Crawford. Leaving behind and keeping his memory alive is: his Step-Mother Marie Walley Murray, sister Brenda Murray, brother Steve Murray, step-brother Bob Walley (Danette), niece Melissa Ambrosino (Dan), nephews Joben Murray (Jessica), Travis Murray (Stephanie), and Brent Crawford, as well as many cousins, great nieces and nephews, neighbors, church members, and friends. At this time Bubba’s family would like to say thank you for all your support and wonderful memories. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to First United Methodist Church in Long Beach, MS, Gingles Animal Clinic Long Beach, MS, any pet society of choice, or Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. A virtual memorial will take place via Zoom Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11am. An invite will be required, so email mlambro22@gmail.com if you want to participate.
