James W. Aycock of Canton, MS went to be with Jesus on Friday, November 18, 2022 after a short illness. Jimmy, as he preferred to be called, was born to Pat and Inajean Aycock on December 25, 1947 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Canton, Mississippi.
He is survived by two Daughters Angel Salat (Richard) and Beth Taylor (Doug) from Atlanta, GA; three Grandsons Tyler, Nickolas, and Tristan; Brothers Mike Aycock (Kathy) of Florence and Vic Aycock (Pam) of Vicksburg; a host of Nieces and Nephews; and best friend Jimmy.
After graduating from Canton High School, Jimmy attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS. He loved to cook, along with being outdoors hunting or fishing. He was a faithful member of Center Terrace Church in Canton.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his Parents; Brother Bobby Aycock; and long time friend Wanda Flowoods.
Jimmy lived in Briarhill Nursing Home for the past six months where the staff loved and cared for him. The family would like to thank all of his nurses for taking such good care of him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Jimmy’s honor to Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton.
