Obituary for JImmy Franklin Brown
Jimmy Franklin Brown, 72, died Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2019 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Crystal Springs followed by burial in the Old Crystal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Monday and 10 AM Tuesday at the church.
Jimmy was born on October 14, 1947 in Union, Mississippi, the son of the late Woodom Finley Brown and Doris Weems Brown. A graduate of Delta State University was an avid Ole Miss fan. A veteran, he served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmy loved his family and friends. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church
He is survived by his sister, Rhonda Davis of Crystal Springs; nephews, Jimmy Clint Davis and William Justin Cheroni both of Crystal Springs and Gunnar Davis of Jackson, MS.
