Obituary for Herman Keith Davis, Sr
Herman Keith Davis, Sr. passed away on Sunday, October 27th, 2019, with his beloved wife of 68 years (Helen) at his bedside. Herman and Helen lived in Jackson, MS. He was 93 years old. Herman was born in Carpenter, MS, on October 25th, 1926, to the late Vernon Barney Davis and Melba Little Davis. He enjoyed his farm in Copiah County, Mississippi State football, and the Atlanta Braves. He was an avid reader, and was a skilled story teller, entertaining his family and friends with stories from his growing up years, work life, and his time in the Navy. Most of all he loved his family. Herman was a loving husband, a devoted father and a good man who will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland Wednesday October 30th, 2019, at 11am with Reverend John Shearer officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am. Burial immediately following will be at Pine Bluff Dentville Cemetery in Hazlehurst. Pallbearers are Allen Bennett, Bryan Bennett, Sam Bennett, Steve Stevens, Ricky Erwin, and Memorials may be made in Herman’s honor to the Charity of your Choice.
