Obituary for Henry Barnes Watson
Henry Barnes (“Hank”) Watson passed away Tuesday, February 20, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. He was born February 19, 1942, in Jackson, Mississippi, to George Russell Watson and Inez Barnes Watson, of Brandon, Mississippi. Hank was a graduate of Brandon High School and the University of Mississippi and served in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone, Africa. He was retired from American and Baxter Hospital Supply Companies and Women’s and River Oaks Hospitals. Hank played baseball for Mississippi College, umpired local high school and college baseball games for many years, and was an avid golfer.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Peggy; and his daughter, Christina. He is survived by his son, Dr. Billy Watson and wife, Jennifer, of Orange, Texas; his son, David Watson and wife, Jamie, of Brandon, Mississippi; his sister, Linda O’Keefe, of Brandon, Mississippi; six loving grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 24, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Brandon, Mississippi
