Henry Eugene Krone, Jr., (Hank), departed this earth on June 13, 2022, and
embraced his Saviour, Jesus Christ. He was born on October 22, 1946, to Mr.
and Mrs. Henry E. Krone in Memphis, Tennessee. They later moved to Jackson,
Mississippi, where he grew up and graduated from Provine High School. He
received an Associate degree in Applied Science and Electrical Technology from
MS Delta Community College. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Science in
Electrical Engineering Technology from Louisiana Tech University. He later
completed a Master’s degree in Technical and Occupational Education from
University of Southern Mississippi. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a
Vietnam era veteran. His teaching career began in a for profit school in Monroe,
LA, and continued in Brookhaven, MS at Brookhaven High School. He also
taught at Southwest Community College and at Copiah Lincoln Community
College. He left teaching in 2006. After retirement, he and his good friend Bob
Little, made various kinds of electrical parts for many companies and also built
many outdoor metal buildings that he designed. He worked for 6 years with Bio
Medical Support Services repairing medical equipment. Hank was a very
talented artist and used his creative skills in many areas. As a youth, he built
countless model cars with meticulous skill and they were painted with
perfection. He had the mind of an engineer and could do and make almost
anything. He built several computers. He loved cars in his youth, the first being
a 1955 Ford drag car which he purchased for $50. He then owned a 1957
Chevrolet two door hardtop. He was an original founder of the Capital City
Corvette Club. Over the years he owned seven Corvettes, mostly red in color.
His family fondly called him Hanky Panky. His sisters often snuck into his room
and played with his model cars to his great outrage. He was predeceased by his
parents, Henry and Eloise, and his beloved grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman
Guy Krone of Memphis, TN. He leaves his precious daughter, Shannon K. McKee
of Madison, (David), his adored grand daughter, Shelby McKee Partridge, of
Raymond, MS, (Austin), his four sisters, Gena K. Everitt of Madison, (Jerry),
Theresa K. Sones of Brookhaven, (Bill), Lela Kay K. Burton of Madison, Eva K.
Crisler of Clinton, (Cris), and 14 nieces and nephews, and his very special friends
and caregivers Brittie Middleton and her daughter Toni Stogner of McComb. He
was humbly grateful for their excellent care of him during times of his infirmity.
He also wishes to thank his dear friend and neighbor, Fletcher Puderer, for all his
kindness, care, and camaraderie. There will be a memorial gathering of the
family at a later date. In lieu of cards or flowers, he requested donations to the
Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers, and St. Judes Hospital.
